Tube DAC
The single-ended converter that came before the Sirius, built as Excellence, Advanced or Silver Warrior depending on the chassis, wiring and capacitors chosen. A non-oversampling R2R ladder with eight independent supplies, a custom mains transformer wound five times oversized, and CLCRCRC filtering on the high tension. Rectification by a directly heated 5C3S, signal valves octal 6SN7GT on anti-vibration mounts, and a 6111 valve squaring up the digital signal before the receiver. An R2R ladder volume control with remote, silver wiring in PTFE as standard, and a preheating circuit that held the anode current off the signal valves until the heaters were up to temperature. Fifteen kilograms. Superseded by the Sirius, which can also be built single-ended.

Core mains filter
A four-outlet mains filter with a PI CLC section and a large ferrite ring choke on every outlet. Each outlet had its own phase switch hidden under the case, so the mains orientation could be set once per component and then forgotten. Live and neutral in 2.5 mm² solid core copper, earth in 4 mm², outlets in Schuko, UK or US to order, and any chassis colour at no extra charge.

Media Server
A fanless linear-supplied music server in the same chassis as the converters. Custom 180 VAC transformer, Nichicon Super Through capacitors, Intel board, SSD for the operating system and a second drive for storage. DSD256 or PCM playback, with a tablet and Roon, JRiver or HQPlayer supplied as a package if wanted. Withdrawn because converter orders left no time for it.
